Guam Power Authority will continue to keep islandwide electricity on for as long as it can.
As of 12:45 p.m. today, the power agency began receiving calls from different locations on the island reporting pocket power outages.
GPA spokesman Art Perez said the power agency's crews are responding to those outages and will continue to respond to similar calls for as long as wind conditions are bearable.
Winds will steadily increase, according to the Weather Service.
Gov. Felix Camacho placed the island in Condition of Readiness 1 at 9 this morning. Condition 1 means that damaging winds are expected within 12 hours.
